Air France denies improper conduct caused Paris lounge sauna closure

Air France has issued a denial regarding reports that the sauna in its business class lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport was closed due to inappropriate passenger behavior.

Following reports that a lounge manager cited passengers “doing things in there that they should not have” as the reason for the permanent closure of the sauna in Terminal 2E, Hall L, the airline provided an alternative explanation. Air France stated the facility was closed in September 2025 due to “low usage” and as part of an effort to standardize services across its lounges.

The airline noted that it continues to provide relaxation areas, including showers, rest areas, and complimentary 20-minute treatments through its partner, Clarins.
