Air France expands luxury service with La Première upgrades
Air France is intensifying its focus on the premium travel segment through its ultra-luxury La Première class. The airline is investing billions to modernize cabins, lounges, and service offerings to attract high-net-worth travelers, despite rising fuel costs impacting industry margins.
The upgraded service, available on selected Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, features modular suites approximately 3.5 square meters in size. These suites include an ergonomic seat and a chaise longue that converts into a two-meter-long bed.
Ground services are also being enhanced at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, where passengers receive access to a dedicated lounge with spa facilities and a personal chauffeur to transport them directly to the aircraft. For routes such as Paris to New York, La Première tickets are priced significantly higher than business or economy classes, offering a level of privacy and comfort comparable to private jets.
