Air France expands Morocco routes as Moroccan airport traffic reaches 12.3 million passengers

Air France announced a summer 2026 program that adds and strengthens flights between France and Morocco. The carrier will keep five daily services on the Casablanca‑Paris Charles de Gaulle route, increase daily flights to Marrakech, add up to four daily departures from Rabat and four weekly flights from Tangier, and operate the new Airbus A220‑300 on several routes. New airport lounges in Casablanca, Marrakech and the first lounge at Rabat‑Salé are planned, together with enhanced onboard catering and free high‑speed Starlink Wi‑Fi for Flying Blue members.

During the same period, Morocco’s civil‑aviation authority reported that passenger traffic at Moroccan airports rose to more than 12.3 million in the first four months of 2026, a 9.7 % increase over the same period last year. International passengers grew 9.5 % and domestic traffic jumped 11.1 %. Traffic rose especially with Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Maghreb, while it fell with the Middle East and East Asia due to geopolitical tensions. Air freight also increased 11.8 % year‑on‑year.
