Air France-KLM Flying Blue named best airline rewards program
Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue loyalty program has been ranked as the world’s best airline rewards program for the third consecutive year. According to rankings from point.me, which evaluated 32 competing schemes, Flying Blue achieved a score of 88.8, driven by high marks in ease of earning, partner opportunities, and award availability.
United MileagePlus ranked second overall and was named the top program in the United States. Air Canada’s Aeroplan secured the third position. The evaluation criteria focused heavily on redemption opportunities, with ease of earning, redemption rates, and partner opportunities accounting for 60% of the final score.
In a separate program update, Air France-KLM introduced five new monthly subscription tiers for Flying Blue. These tiers, ranging from the Starter level at $34.20 for 2,000 miles to the Complete+ level at $402.00 for 30,000 miles, allow travelers to automate point accumulation through recurring monthly payments. The subscription model requires a minimum three-month commitment.
