Air fryer product tests reveal significant performance variations

Recent product evaluations of air fryers highlight significant performance variations across different models. Testing conducted by the Austrian Association for Consumer Information (VKI) examined various commercial units based on preparation quality, handling, energy consumption, build quality, safety, and noise levels.

A notable finding was the difficulty many devices had when cooking large quantities of French fries; several models resulted in burnt food, while only the Philips NA322/00 Serie 3000 achieved a ‘very good’ rating for even frying. Other high-performing models included the Philips NA332/00, Braun MultiFry 3, and Tefal Easy Fry Smart & Silence.

In separate testing, the Ninja Foodi FlexDrawer was reviewed for its versatility. This model features a 10.4-liter capacity that can be used as two separate 5.2-liter zones or combined into one large compartment. It offers a wide temperature range from 35 to 240 degrees Celsius and various programs including air frying, reheating, and dehydrating.
