Air fryers offer significant energy savings over traditional ovens

A comparison of kitchen appliance efficiency highlights the energy-saving benefits of air fryers over traditional ovens. Due to smaller chambers and faster preheating times, air fryers consume significantly less electricity when preparing common foods such as frozen fries, chicken thighs, and reheating leftovers.

Calculations based on typical power ratings show that an air fryer can use between two and a half to three and a half times less energy than a standard oven. For example, cooking 500g of chicken thighs takes 52 minutes in an oven consuming 1.91 kWh, whereas an air fryer completes the task in 30 minutes using only 0.68 kWh.

In terms of specific hardware, the Raven EFN013 is noted as a high-capacity option, featuring an 11.5-liter chamber that can be divided into two independent cooking zones. This model includes dual heating elements and a synchronization function to ensure different foods finish cooking simultaneously.
