Air India Express and IndiGo launch Independence Day flight sales

Major Indian airlines Air India Express and IndiGo have launched promotional sales to coincide with Independence Day.

Air India Express is offering a ‘Freedom Sale’ with discounts of up to 20 percent on flight fares and Gourmeyer miles. Bookings for travel between August 16 and October 31 must be made by August 16. Customers booking directly through the airline’s website or mobile app can receive an additional 10 percent discount using the promo code ‘FREEDOM’.

IndiGo has introduced a ‘Happy Independence Day Sale’ providing up to 20 percent off the base fare on selected non-stop domestic and international flights. The promotion runs from August 13 to August 16, 2026, for travel scheduled between August 16 and October 31, 2026. Travelers can use the promo code ‘INDIGO80’ via the airline’s website, mobile app, or 6E Sky platform. IndiGo is also offering ancillary deals, such as seat upgrades and fare hold options, through its direct booking channels.
