Air India Express and Interasia Lines announce major network expansions

Air India Express has announced its largest Winter 2026 schedule, significantly expanding its flight network. Starting October 25, 2026, the airline will operate approximately 585 daily flights, including 435 domestic and up to 150 international departures. This expansion includes the launch of over 40 new routes, increasing weekly flights from 3,150 in the summer to nearly 4,100 in the winter.

In the maritime sector, Interasia Lines Ltd has launched the India–East Africa Express Service (IEX). This new service provides direct connectivity between West Indian gateway ports, specifically Nhava Sheva and Mundra, and major East African markets, including Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Mombasa in Kenya. The service operates on a 56-day rotation to support growing trade flows between the two regions.
