Air India Extends Maharaja Club Loyalty Benefits to Air India Express Network

Air India announced that its Maharaja Club loyalty programme will now cover flights operated by Air India Express, adding more than 55 destinations across South, Southeast and West Asia. Members can immediately earn Maharaja Points and Tier Points on eligible Air India Express flights booked through the airlines’ websites, mobile apps or major travel agents, and these flights will count toward tier progression.

Points are awarded based on fare class: on direct Air India Express bookings, Red tier members receive eight points per INR 100 spent, Silver 10, Gold 11 and Platinum 12. Bookings via other channels earn slightly fewer points. Redemption of Maharaja Points for award flights on Air India Express begins at 1,500 points, with sample routes such as Bengaluru‑Chennai, Delhi‑Bengaluru and international services to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bangkok. Future phases will introduce additional perks like priority check‑in, priority boarding, seat selection and fee waivers.

The rollout is part of Air India's broader effort to integrate loyalty benefits across its group network, aiming to make Maharaja Points a more valuable currency for frequent flyers.
