Air Jordan 12 Obsidian expected to return in January 2027

The Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian” is expected to return on January 23, 2027, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of its original February 1997 release. The upcoming release is anticipated to feature a price of $215 and will be available through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the original colorway features dark navy leather, white overlays, and Carolina blue accents. The design includes stitched lines across the upper inspired by Japan’s Rising Sun flag. This specific colorway is notable for being the only original Air Jordan 12 style that Michael Jordan never wore during an NBA game.
