Air Liquide and Vinachem sign memorandum for fertilizer plant upgrades
Air Liquide and the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) have signed a non-exclusive memorandum of understanding to explore technical improvements for fertilizer production facilities. The agreement, signed in Brussels, focuses on enhancing energy efficiency, operational reliability, and industrial safety.
The collaboration aims to evaluate the modernization of existing air separation units and investigate the feasibility of argon recovery processes. Beyond fertilizer plants, the two companies intend to research cooperation opportunities in hydrogen, ammonia, and battery recycling.
This initiative serves as a preliminary study to assess technical feasibility and investment efficiency. The parties plan to conduct technical workshops and site surveys to determine if these studies lead to concrete modernization projects or future investment ventures.
