Çair Municipality launches platform to combat school violence
Izet Mexhiti, the Mayor of Çair, has announced the creation of a joint platform to prevent and manage peer violence in local schools. This initiative aims to coordinate efforts between the municipality, schools, psychologists, professional services, teachers, and parents to implement long-term educational activities and identification mechanisms.
The decision follows a violent incident on August 31 involving two groups of youths, during which a 13-year-old was critically injured by a knife. Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the clash.
Additionally, the municipality has signed a cooperation memorandum with Mother Teresa University under the 'Çairi in the Rhythm of Health' platform. This partnership focuses on promoting student health and development through professional lectures and activities covering topics such as physical activity and proper posture.
