Air Peace aircraft triggers false fire alarm after Lagos landing

Air Peace reported that a false fire alarm was triggered on one of its wet-leased aircraft after it had safely landed and parked at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos on Sunday.

As passengers were preparing to disembark, the captain received a fire indication alert in the cockpit. Following standard safety protocols, the crew initiated precautionary procedures and evacuated all passengers from the aircraft. The airline confirmed that all passengers were evacuated safely and no injuries were recorded.

Air Peace stated that no actual fire was confirmed and its Maintenance and Engineering team has begun a technical assessment to determine the cause of the alert. The airline commended the flight crew, ground personnel, and airport emergency services for their response.
