Air Peace expands fleet with Embraer 190 and new passenger services
Nigerian carrier Air Peace has expanded its fleet with the delivery of an Embraer 190 jet at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. This marks the airline’s eighth aircraft acquisition in 2026 and brings its total Embraer fleet to 18 aircraft. In a departure from previous naming traditions, the new 96-seat jet has been named after Mrs. Eka Sunmonu.
The aircraft features a dual-class configuration with 12 Business Class and 84 Economy Class seats, designed with a 2-2 Economy layout to eliminate middle seats.
Additionally, Air Peace has introduced a complimentary airport pick-up service for eligible First Class and Business Class passengers on its London routes. In partnership with SIMPLAA, the service provides transfers in Lagos, Abuja, Heathrow, and Gatwick. First Class passengers are eligible for transfers up to 70 miles from Heathrow or Gatwick, while Business Class passengers are covered for up to 60 miles. In Nigeria, coverage extends up to 60 kilometres in Abuja and 40 kilometres in Lagos.
