The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has directed Air Peace to provide compensation to passengers following a delayed Lagos–Enugu flight. A preliminary investigation by the regulator found that the airline issued incorrect notifications to travelers regarding the schedule change.

One affected passenger, human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong, reported that the 6:45am flight was rescheduled to 4:50pm, causing him to miss a scheduled court appearance. Effiong alleged that the airline sent misleading reminders as late as 2:01am despite knowing the flight would not depart on time.

NCAA Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, stated the disruption was a ripple effect from a previous day's cancellation. He confirmed the authority would investigate the incident thoroughly and urged Air Peace to maintain buffer aircraft to mitigate future delays.

Broader data from the NCAA indicates significant operational challenges in the Nigerian aviation sector, with more than 60 per cent of domestic flights recorded as either delayed or cancelled during the recent review period. Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines were identified as having high volumes of disruptions, though analysts note that high flight volumes and systemic issues like apron congestion at Lagos and Abuja airports contribute to these statistics.
