Air Premia expands long-haul network with Washington D.C. growth
Air Premia has reported a significant increase in passenger demand on its Incheon to Washington D.C. route following its launch on April 24. Between the launch date and August 23, the airline operated 123 flights and transported 25,879 passengers.
Total passenger volume for the route during this period reached 86,083, an increase of approximately 27,000 to 28,000 passengers compared to the same period last year. The airline noted that the increase in total route demand is roughly equivalent to the scale of the new seats provided, suggesting that the new service is generating additional travel demand rather than merely competing for existing passengers.
Looking forward, Air Premia plans to expand its long-haul network by connecting its Americas-focused routes with China. The company is preparing to launch a Ningbo route within the year and aims to leverage interline agreements and its own network to capture transit demand between major Chinese cities and the Americas via Incheon.
