Air purifier safety: Avoiding common usage mistakes

Commonly used household appliances, such as air purifiers, can pose health risks if operated incorrectly. To ensure respiratory protection and device longevity, users should avoid placing air purifiers in corners or behind furniture, as this obstructs airflow and allows pathogens, mold, and fine dust to accumulate in stagnant areas. It is recommended to maintain a distance of 30 to 50cm from walls to optimize air circulation.

Additionally, operating an air purifier while windows or doors are open can be counterproductive, as it may cause the device to collect outdoor pollutants like PM2.5 and vehicle exhaust, leading to the accumulation of toxins in the living space.
