Air Serbia expands network to over 100 destinations

Air Serbia has expanded its network to more than 100 destinations, a significant increase from the 40 destinations served prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. General Director Jiří Marek announced new direct flight routes to bolster the airline's year-round commercial viability.

In September, the airline will introduce direct flights from Belgrade to Seville and Tenerife. Starting October 25, new routes will also operate from Niš to Vienna and Malta. Marek noted that these specific destinations were chosen because they maintain high demand outside of typical tourist seasons, helping to balance seasonal fluctuations in European travel.

Marek also addressed the regional differences in aviation potential between Belgrade and southern Serbia. While Belgrade serves a population of approximately six million, the south faces competition from airports in Sofia and Skopje. However, he expressed optimism regarding the future development of the Niš airport.
