Air Serbia launches direct flights between Belgrade and Tenerife

Air Serbia has officially launched a new direct flight service between Belgrade and Tenerife. This new route marks the airline’s seventh destination in Spain, following existing services to Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, and Alicante.

Due to high passenger demand, the service was brought forward to mid-September from its original October schedule. The flights will operate twice weekly, with departures from Belgrade on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and return flights on Wednesdays and Sundays. While the inaugural flight was operated by an Airbus A320, an A220-300 wet-leased from airBaltic is expected to operate most flights during the winter season.

Boško Rupić, Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, noted that the expansion targets the attractive Spanish tourist market and provides travel opportunities to the Canary Islands outside the traditional summer season. The airline also plans to expand its Spanish network further by introducing flights to Seville on September 30.
