Air Supply receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The rock duo Air Supply was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 8. Members Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock attended the ceremony, which was held at 6126 Hollywood Boulevard.

The event featured speakers including producer David Foster and former host Pat Sajak. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recognized the band for its 50-year musical legacy and continuous touring history since the group formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1975.

In addition to the honor, the band is preparing for a 50th Anniversary Celebration tour spanning 2025 and 2026. They also have a new album, ‘A Matter of Time’, in development. During recent discussions, the duo expressed a preference for the term ‘romantic rock and roll’ over ‘soft rock’ to describe their high-energy live performances.
