Air Tanzania and Air Algérie move to resume flights to Moscow

Air Tanzania has announced the resumption of its flights between Dar es Salaam and Moscow, effective September 7. The airline had briefly suspended these services due to safety concerns regarding increased drone activity in Russian airspace. Following a “routine risk assessment” conducted alongside relevant authorities, the carrier determined that resuming operations was appropriate.

Separately, Air Algérie is working toward restoring direct flights between Algiers and Moscow. While the service has been suspended, Algerian and Russian authorities are coordinating to facilitate its return, potentially as early as autumn 2026. The resumption is currently pending administrative procedures, specifically the accreditation of the airline's representative in Russia.
