Air Transat launches direct Montreal-Agadir flight service

Air Transat has launched a new direct flight service between Montreal and Agadir, Morocco. The inaugural flight, which carried 194 passengers, arrived at Agadir Al Massira Airport on June 13, 2026.

Operating with an Airbus A321LR, the non-stop service will run every Friday from June 12 to October 23, 2026. Air Transat is currently the only North American carrier providing a direct link to Agadir, following its previous launch of the Montreal-Marrakech route.

The new connection aims to meet high demand from Quebec tourists and the Moroccan community in Canada. Officials expect the route to boost the economy of the Souss-Massa region by increasing hotel occupancy and local employment. This expansion aligns with growing Canadian interest in Morocco, which saw a 29% increase in visitors by late 2025.
