Air Transat makes Montreal‑Dakar route year‑round
Air Transat confirmed that its seasonal Montreal‑Dakar service will become a year‑round connection. Starting 30 October 2026 and running through 26 March 2027, the airline will add a weekly winter flight on Fridays between Montreal‑Trudeau (YUL) and Dakar‑Blaise Diagne (DSS), using an Airbus A330‑200. This schedule joins the two summer weekly rotations, providing continuous service on the only nonstop link between Canada and sub‑Saharan Africa.
The move aims to give business travelers, the Senegalese diaspora in Quebec and tourists more predictable and regular options, while supporting Air Transat’s broader strategy of diversifying its network and focusing on routes with strong demand.
