Bandar Abbas International Airport resumes flight operations in Iran

Flight operations have resumed at Iran’s Bandar Abbas International Airport, connecting the city to Tehran, Mashhad, and Isfahan. The resumption follows disruptions caused by infrastructure damage during recent military conflicts involving the United States and Israel.

According to the General Department of Hormozgan Airports, several airlines, including Iran Airtour, Sepehran, Kish Air, Varesh, and Meraj, are scheduled to operate routes from Bandar Abbas. Prior to the conflict, the airport handled between 35 and 40 domestic and international flights daily.

Additionally, officials have announced that Qeshm International Airport is prepared to resume flights following the stabilization of security conditions in the region. The reopening of these aviation hubs is viewed as a step toward normalizing economic and tourism activities in southern Iran, particularly for Qeshm Island, which relies heavily on air travel for its local economy.
