AIRAX launches AI tax agent for accounting firms

AIRAX, a Tokyo-based company, has launched a specialized tax agent AI designed to support tax and accounting firms. The service aims to automate complex workflows, including document organization, bank reconciliation, journal entry suggestions, and the creation of general ledgers and financial statements.

In a practical demonstration, the AI processed 64 documents (including PDFs, Excel files, and contracts) and 227 bank statements to generate preliminary financial results in approximately 20 minutes. This process, which previously was estimated to take 25 to 30 business days, was completed without manual data entry or transcription during the AI's execution.

The service is offered with zero initial setup and monthly fees, utilizing a revenue-sharing model based on individual cases. The AI is designed to integrate with existing accounting software rather than replacing it, allowing tax professionals to focus on high-level expert judgment while the agent handles data processing and identifies missing information.
