Airbnb Chief Strategy Officer Sells $2.6 Million of Stock as Institutional Holdings Shift

Nathan Blecharczyk, Airbnb's chief strategy officer, exercised 17,692 stock options and sold the resulting shares on July 20, 2026 for a total transaction value of about $2.6 million. The sale reduced his indirect Class A equity by roughly 59%, leaving him with 94,001 Class A shares (about 81,631 held directly). The shares were sold under a pre‑arranged Rule 10b5‑1 trading plan at an average price of $145.43 per share.

In the same reporting period, WealthCollab LLC dramatically cut its Airbnb position, disposing of 10,590 shares and lowering its holding to 319 shares worth approximately $40,000, a 97.1% reduction in the first quarter. Other institutional investors reported activity: Merit Financial Group increased its stake by 72.1%, North Star Asset Management added 13.4%, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust & Banking grew its holding by 18.3%, and Danske Bank added 11.0% in the fourth quarter. Overall, institutional investors now own about 80.8% of Airbnb's outstanding shares.
