Airbnb economic impact in Brasília grows by 27%

An updated study by the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), commissioned by Airbnb, indicates that the platform's activities generated over R$ 1.6 billion for the economy of Brasília in 2025. This represents a growth of more than 27% compared to the previous year.

The economic activity supported more than 10,000 jobs in the city, benefiting sectors such as tourism, food, transport, cleaning, and maintenance. The study also noted that the activity contributed over R$ 892 million to the capital's GDP and generated nearly R$ 139 million in taxes.

In terms of direct income, Airbnb activities generated more than R$ 442 million in Brasília, with much of these resources circulating locally through restaurants, markets, and various services used by visitors.
