Airbnb launches car rental service in over 300 Brazilian cities

Airbnb has expanded its services in Brazil by launching a car rental feature available in more than 300 cities. The service covers major capitals such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília, as well as tourist destinations like Fortaleza, Salvador, and Fernando de Noronha.

Users can book vehicles directly through the Airbnb mobile app under the Services tab. While the platform suggests rental locations near confirmed accommodations, users are not required to have an existing lodging reservation to use the car rental feature. To facilitate these rentals, Airbnb partners with CarTrawler, which consolidates offers from various market rental companies. Users pay through the partner platform.

As part of the launch, Airbnb is offering incentives, including a 20% credit for a future stay or experience on a user's first rental, and potential savings of up to 20% when using preferred partners. The company also introduced new social features, allowing users to opt-in to sharing travel information, such as visited destinations and reviews, with their connections.
