Airbus boosts June deliveries by 15% as production reaches 351 aircraft in H1 2024

Airbus announced that 89 aircraft were delivered in June, bringing the total number of planes delivered in the first half of 2024 to 351 – a 15% increase over the same period last year. The deliveries were dominated by narrow‑body models, including 39 A321neo and 34 A320neo jets, together with nine A220‑300s, six A350‑900s and one A350‑1000.

At its Blagnac facility near Toulouse, Airbus opened a second assembly line for the A320neo family, adding to its eight production lines that operate in France, Germany, China and the United States. The company reaffirmed its 2026 target of 870 aircraft deliveries and hinted at an ambitious aim of reaching a historic 900 deliveries this year. A potential bottleneck is the supply of engines from Pratt & Whitney, which the CEO said was insufficient for Airbus' plans.

Polish carrier LOT has signed a contract for 40 Airbus A220 aircraft, with an option for 44 more, the first of which is expected to join the fleet by the end of June 2027.
