Airbus defence unit posts record €6.3 bn revenue as European military suppliers expand

Airbus' defence and space division reported a record €6.334 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026, a 6.17 % increase over the same period in 2025. The growth was spread evenly across the two quarters and reflects strong demand for military helicopters and other contracts.

Spanish defence vehicle maker Urovesa announced 2025 revenue of more than €137 million, up 13 % year‑on‑year, and net profit exceeding €20 million. The company is investing over €50 million in new industrial facilities in Galicia, which are expected to create over 100 direct jobs and support additional indirect employment.
