Airbus employees in Spain approve new labor agreement

Airbus employees in Spain have approved a new proposal to end a two-month labor dispute, with 76.76% of voters supporting the agreement. The vote included 13,560 workers across facilities in Getafe, Albacete, Illescas, Seville (San Pablo and Tablada), and Cádiz.

The agreement focuses on recovering purchasing power through a 7.95% increase distributed proportionally over four years until 2029, alongside commitments to real CPI (Consumer Price Index) payments. Additionally, annual increases linked to the CPI will include a 2% boost, except for 2029, which will see a 1.95% increase. The deal also maintains existing teleworking arrangements.

Voting results varied by location. Cádiz and Albacete showed the highest support levels, at 95.94% and 91.84% respectively. In Getafe, 1,847 workers voted in favor compared to 1,427 against. The company described the proposal as the result of a “long, intense and transparent” negotiation process aimed at reaching a common understanding.
