Airbus reports 7% revenue increase for first nine months of 2026

Airbus has reported a 7% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue for the first nine months of 2026, reaching 50.6 billion euros compared to 47.4 billion euros during the same period in 2025. This growth was driven by increased aircraft deliveries and strong performance within the Defence and Space division.

The company delivered 547 commercial aircraft between January and September, up from 507 in the previous year. The delivery breakdown included 428 aircraft from the A320 family, 68 A220s, 38 A350s, and 13 A330s. Commercial aircraft activities alone generated 36.7 billion euros in revenue, an 8% increase attributed to higher delivery volumes and service revenue, though partially offset by a weaker US dollar.

Order activity showed significant growth, with 1,174 gross commercial aircraft orders recorded compared to 610 in the first nine months of 2025. After accounting for cancellations, net orders reached 1,105 units. As of late September 2026, the commercial aircraft backlog stood at 9,310 units. Additionally, the Defence and Space division saw strong momentum, securing 11.5 billion euros in new orders.
