Airbus secures 25-year military cybersecurity contract in France
Airbus, through its subsidiary Airbus Cybersecurity SAS, has secured a 25-year contract known as PARACOM with the French General Directorate for Armament (DGA). The agreement focuses on providing advanced cybersecurity gateways for the French Ministry of Armed Forces and Veterans.
The PARACOM system is designed to facilitate the secure and filtered exchange of data between different IT networks and systems with varying levels of classification, ranging from unclassified to secret. These gateways will serve as a foundation for the ministry's cybersecurity infrastructure, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of strategic information.
The technology is intended for use in both data center server racks and as standalone devices for deployment in operational areas. This includes securing communications for diverse military assets, such as drones and submarines, to protect against increasingly sophisticated digital threats and cyberattacks.
