Airbus secures major orders for A320neo aircraft
Airbus has secured significant orders for its A320neo family aircraft from two distinct aviation entities.
Aviation Capital Group (ACG), a global aircraft asset manager based in Newport Beach, California, has signed a firm order for 75 A320neo aircraft. This represents the largest order in the company’s nearly 40-year history, bringing its total historical orders for this aircraft type to 190. ACG CEO Thomas Baker stated the investment reflects confidence in the long-term future of air travel and the demand for new-technology narrowbody aircraft.
Separately, Atlantic Airways, the national carrier of the Faroe Islands, has ordered two additional A320neo aircraft. This purchase is part of the airline’s strategic goal to transition to a fleet composed exclusively of A320neo models to improve operational synergies and maintenance efficiency. Atlantic Airways currently operates four aircraft from the A320 family.
