Airbus wins 25-year cybersecurity contract with French military

Airbus, through its subsidiary Airbus Cybersecurity SAS, has secured a 25-year contract from France’s General Directorate for Armament (DGA) to provide cybersecurity gateways for the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and Veterans’ Affairs.

The PARACOM program involves the design, development, production, and long-term operational maintenance of gateways intended to facilitate secure, filtered data exchanges between networks with varying levels of classification. These systems will be certified to handle data ranging from “unclassified” to “secret” levels.

The equipment is designed for versatile deployment, including data center racks, command posts, and tactical environments. This allows for integration across various military assets, such as ships, submarines, aircraft, helicopters, drones, and armored vehicles, to strengthen the digital shield of the French armed forces.
