Aircalin and Air Austral Strengthen Partnerships for Fleet Reliability and New Asian Routes

Aircalin, the New Caledonia‑based carrier, announced a new operational partnership with French airline Corsair to enhance the reliability of its A330neo fleet. The agreement includes technical support and joint maintenance aimed at securing both long‑haul and regional services.

Air Austral signed a Special Prorate Agreement with Thailand’s Bangkok Airways, allowing passengers departing from La Réunion to travel to eight new Asian destinations – Koh Samui, Lampang, Sukhothai, Trat, Luang Prabang, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap – using a single Air Austral ticket and through‑checked baggage. The collaboration expands Air Austral’s network and simplifies travel to Southeast Asia.

Both initiatives are part of a broader strategy by the French overseas carriers to improve fleet performance, broaden route offerings and enhance passenger experience.
