Aircapture and NGK launch direct air capture demonstration in Japan

Aircapture Inc. and NGK Corporation have launched a joint direct air capture (DAC) demonstration project at the AIZAWA Concrete Corporation Fukushima RDM Center in Japan. The collaboration aims to advance the practical deployment of DAC technologies by combining Aircapture’s modular systems with NGK’s proprietary ceramic substrate technology.

The project serves as Aircapture’s first deployment in Japan and NGK’s first DAC demonstration within a commercial operating environment. The demonstration will evaluate the system's performance, operational reliability, and durability under real-world conditions. Additionally, the partners will explore utilization pathways for the captured CO2, such as concrete mineralization.
