Rey Vaqueiro's private jet catches fire after landing accident in Brazil

A private Cessna 550 Bravo jet carrying Brazilian singer Rey Vaqueiro and seven others caught fire after veering off a landing strip in Parelhas, Rio Grande do Norte, during the early hours of Sunday, September 13.

All eight occupants, including the singer, five crew/team members, and two pilots, successfully evacuated the aircraft before the flames spread. While the aircraft was destroyed, no serious injuries were reported, though all passengers were taken to the Municipal Hospital of Parelhas for medical evaluation. Preliminary reports suggest the aircraft may have experienced a braking failure upon landing.

The incident has led to the cancellation of several scheduled performances in Pernambuco, including shows in Custódia and Canhotinho. The Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (Cenipa) has been notified to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
