Aires del Sur workers launch fundraiser for unpaid families

Workers at Aires del Sur in Río Grande have launched a fundraising initiative to support 122 families who have not received wages for six months. The campaign involves selling contribution vouchers for a vehicle raffle, which is scheduled to take place on October 18, Mother's Day, at the factory.

To ensure transparency, workers stated that the process will be overseen by officials from the IPRA. The initiative has received support from various political sectors, trade unions, and social organizations. The funds raised are intended to cover essential living expenses, including rent, food, and child support, as the workers face ongoing uncertainty regarding their employment and financial stability.
