Airfryer technology and usage trends in Germany
Airfryers have become a staple in German households, with over 42 percent of households now owning one. These devices are noted for being faster, more energy-efficient, and using less fat than traditional ovens.
Newer models, such as the Ninja Crispi Pro, are introducing modular designs using glass containers instead of traditional baskets. This glass system allows users to monitor the cooking process visually and use the same containers for cooking, serving, and refrigerated storage. While the modular approach offers versatility, the weight of the glass containers can make them heavy to handle, especially given the narrowness of the handles.
Beyond hardware, airfryers are being utilized for efficient 'one-pot' cooking. This method involves placing all ingredients directly into the device to save time and reduce cleanup, suitable for various dishes such as vegetable bowls with feta or shrimp with zucchini.
