Airline Restores Spain‑Venezuela Flights After Earthquake Disruption

A major airline announced the reinstatement of its direct Spain‑Venezuela service that had been suspended following recent earthquakes that damaged airport infrastructure in the region. After completing technical inspections of Madrid‑Barajas and Caracas‑Maiquetía airports and confirming navigation systems meet international safety standards, the carrier will resume flights gradually beginning this week.

Initial operations will consist of three weekly flights from Madrid to Caracas, with plans to increase frequency to daily service as demand and airport logistics stabilise. Passengers whose tickets were booked during the suspension will receive priority rebooking at no additional cost, easing travel disruptions for thousands of stranded travellers and supporting the recovering tourism sector.
