Airlines expand direct flight services to Cape Town

Air France and Qantas have announced expansions to their seasonal flight services connecting to Cape Town, South Africa.

Air France is increasing its seasonal Paris to Cape Town service to five weekly direct flights for the 2026/2027 summer season. The route, which marks 15 years of operation, has seen record passenger volumes in the last two years. The service provides travelers with access to Air France’s broader European and international network via Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Qantas will launch its first non-stop service between Sydney and Cape Town, scheduled to operate from October 2027 through March 2028. Utilizing new 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, the route aims to meet growing demand from Australian travelers. This new service complements Qantas’ existing direct flights from Perth and Sydney to Johannesburg.
