Airlines expand flight capacities to and from Mallorca and Canary Islands

Airlines are increasing flight capacities for upcoming travel periods in Spain. Binter has announced an expansion of its services between the Canary Islands for the All Saints' Day weekend, from October 30 to November 2. The airline plans 942 connections providing 69,562 seats, an increase of 4,010 seats over the regular schedule during peak days. Significant capacity additions include routes between Gran Canaria and La Palma, as well as Lanzarote and Tenerife North.

In Mallorca, Palma Airport is preparing for a strong winter season with 7.98 million seats planned, representing a 6% increase compared to the previous winter according to the Spanish airline association ALA. Eurowings is doubling its fleet on the island by permanently stationing six jets there. While Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings noted a slight reduction in some flight frequencies due to rising kerosene costs, major routes to German cities like Frankfurt, Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg remain active. Condor is also maintaining a stable European network from Palma, despite seasonal pauses for certain destinations.
