Airlines expand international routes in Mexico and Argentina

Airlines are expanding international connectivity in Latin America through new routes and increased frequencies.

Volaris has announced four new routes from Guadalajara, Mexico, starting December 1. These direct flights will connect the city to Washington Dulles, Atlanta, Medellín, and Guatemala City. The new service to Washington Dulles will be the only non-stop flight between the two cities, while the Atlanta route marks Volaris's 25th destination in the United States. In South America, the airline is adding Medellín as its second Colombian destination from Guadalajara.

In Argentina, Copa Airlines is increasing its service to Salta, adding a fourth weekly flight from Panama starting in February. This expansion aims to boost tourism by providing Salta with access to over 85 destinations across North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America via the Hub of the Americas in Panama.
