Airlines expand Starlink Wi-Fi capabilities across fleets

Aer Lingus has completed the rollout of free Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire narrow-body transatlantic fleet. The installation covers 14 aircraft, including eight Airbus A321LR and six A321XLR models, enabling streaming-grade internet on more than 10 North American routes. The airline expects to have Starlink available on all transatlantic aircraft, including widebody A330s, by the end of 2026.

Meanwhile, American Airlines is reportedly considering expanding its Starlink Wi-Fi implementation beyond its initial commitment to the Airbus A320-family. While the airline previously announced plans to introduce the service to over 500 A320-family aircraft starting in 2027, reports suggest it may extend the rollout to its entire mainline fleet, including Boeing 737, 777, and 787 aircraft.
