Airlines face major flight delays on India-UAE routes

Airlines operating between India and the United Arab Emirates are experiencing significant flight delays and cancellations. Passengers traveling from various Indian cities, including Jaipur, Kochi, Amritsar, and New Delhi, have reported delays ranging from several hours to nearly 14 hours.

SpiceJet has faced particular scrutiny following prolonged disruptions. At Delhi Airport, passengers staged a sit-in protest after flights bound for Dubai were delayed for over 24 hours. One specific flight, SG 5111, was rescheduled multiple times before being listed as cancelled on flight tracking services. The airline has cited ‘operational reasons’ for the disruptions.

Other carriers, including Air India Express and Etihad, have also reported delays on various routes. While many flights continue to operate, travelers are being urged to monitor their flight status through respective airline websites due to the ongoing uncertainty.
