Airlines Worldwide Expand Starlink In‑Flight Wi‑Fi
A growing number of major carriers are installing SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet on their fleets. United, British Airways, Lufthansa Group, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Air France, Iberia, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and others have announced rollout plans extending into 2027‑2029, with many targeting fleet‑wide coverage.
American Airlines confirmed it will equip more than 500 narrow‑body Airbus aircraft with Starlink starting in the first quarter of 2027, adding the service to new A321XLR and A321neo deliveries. The airline highlighted multigigabit speeds and low latency for streaming, gaming and real‑time collaboration, positioning Starlink as the fastest Wi‑Fi available on commercial flights.
