Airlink expands Cape Town network with Mauritius and Lanseria routes

Airlink is expanding its Cape Town network by introducing new domestic and regional flight connections. The airline has launched a twice-weekly direct service between Cape Town and Mauritius, utilizing its Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This new route aims to strengthen tourism and business links between the two markets, providing an alternative to travelers who previously had to connect through Johannesburg.

Additionally, starting December 4, 2026, Airlink will begin daily flights between Cape Town and Johannesburg’s Lanseria International Airport. This domestic service, operated with Embraer E190 aircraft, is designed to provide an alternative to O.R. Tambo International Airport, specifically serving passengers traveling to western Gauteng and the North West province. The Lanseria service will initially feature two daily return flights, with plans to increase to four daily return services by March 22, 2027.
