Airlink launches direct Cape Town to Mauritius flights

Airlink has launched its inaugural direct flight service between Cape Town and Mauritius. The new twice-weekly route, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays, provides a non-stop alternative for travelers in the Western Cape, bypassing the need to connect through Johannesburg.

The service is operated using the airline’s new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which features a 124-passenger capacity. The cabin includes a staggered Business Class configuration with 12 seats and an Economy Class layout with a two-by-two seating arrangement.

Airlink CEO De Villiers Engelbrecht stated that the route strengthens connections between two vital tourism and business markets. The expansion aims to support both leisure travelers and the commercial ties between South Africa and Mauritius, where over 140 South African businesses currently operate across various sectors including ICT, manufacturing, and agriculture.
