AirNav Indonesia maintains flight navigation services after NTT earthquake

AirNav Indonesia has confirmed that flight navigation services remain operational and optimal following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) on Saturday, August 15. While the earthquake caused physical damage to some facilities, including cracks in tower buildings in Bajawa, Ruteng, Maumere, Ende, and Labuan Bajo, AirNav Director General Capt Avirianto Suratno stated that services remain under control through coordination with the Ministry of Transportation.

Facilities in Kupang, Waingapu, Tambolaka, and Denpasar are reported to be safe. All AirNav personnel in the affected areas are confirmed safe. The organization has implemented contingency plans, including facility assessments and rerouting services from secure locations, to manage potential aftershocks. AirNav is committed to supporting air-based evacuation efforts and the distribution of humanitarian aid to the impacted regions.
